About Us

"The last 500 hundred years of European contact with Africa produced a body of literature that presented Africa in a very bad light and now the time has come for Africans to tell their own stories."

Foreword by Chinua Achebe (1930 - 2013) in Pius Adesanmi's You're Not a Country, Africa.

Afrospora.com was born out of the dire need to create an awareness for the immense contributions the African Diaspora have and continue to make to the global economy. Through this medium, the publishers seek to enhance the collective profile of Diasporan Africans by highlighting the achievements of Africans who bestride diverse fields of endeavour.

Powered by active members of the African community, Afrospora.com is the first online portal that showcases difference-makers in the African community in order to educate, entertain and inspire members of the Diasporan African community.

Afrospora.com, a solely online platform, documents - for posterity - the dreams, struggles and successes that characterize the large and growing African community across North America, Europe, and Asia. It tells the success stories of African professionals and aspiring professionals, entrepreneurs, social change agents and organizations.

The exploits of Diasporan Africans are worthy of celebration.

In many sectors of the global economy, Africans have become employers of labour. For a fact, no one will blow our trumpets unless we sing our own praises.

Through Afrospora.com, inspirational Africans will be introduced to fellow Africans as well as to non-Africans. Towards achieving these objectives, Afrospora.com will profile any African who is a difference-maker in his or her field or whose personality will inspire the next generation of successful, culturally-sensitized Diasporan Africans.
